Red Moose Inn holds packages for free (send USPS). Free use of laundry, shower, phone (calls within U.S.), computer, and camping in the back yard (in case you don't want to rent a room). They have two comfortable rooms to rent with queen bed and private bath, microwave and fridge. The renter of the room gets free breakfast. Dinner is usually baby back ribs barbecued over coal, with fried potato wedges, beans, and carrots. Dessert is fresh, cold melon. The street address is 224 Main Street (hwy 49), Sierra City. The Inn is one mile west of the trailhead, on the South side of the street. It is a two story grey/blue building with a prominent 24x24" PCT logo on a sign half way up the building.
